NEW CHAPTER: NEW SHOP! Summer/Autumn 2024

Threadneedle street - the new location of Goff Courtney

We are thrilled to unveil our new shop! After several months showcasing our wears and wares at The Royal Exchange's charming No.1 unit (formerly Searle jeweller's), we have moved to No.29 on the other side of the building, situated on Threadneedle Street.

Long familiar with this street's fabulous name – it has always been a dream location for us – making this move an extra feather in the cap!

The new duplex shop offers lighter, brighter spaces with high ceilings - and no precarious spiral staircase! The white shell (a stark contrast to No.1’s dark wood and mirrored interior) provided a blank canvas to merge Goff Courtney's distilled approach to clothing with Yvonne’s architect partner, Misha Stefan’s spliced architectural artworks.

An abstract painted backdrop overlaid with a grid of hooks provides a unique and striking display, with each piece displayed facing outwards, so that their unique design and function can be appreciated at first glance.

We will fondly remember our time at No.1 – it was pretty special breathing new life into such a historic shop (rather like what we do with traditional tailoring and shirting!) Its grade 1 listing means its long term protection and adaptation for contemporary use will continue to present an interesting challenge.

We're pretty chuffed at being able to continue our journey at The Royal Exchange for the next few months (likely until mid/late Autumn 2024) – given the prestigious building was originally founded for start-up traders of the day (back in 1571!) So we'd be delighted to see you at No.29 Threadneedle Street - come and check out our new space... the latest Goff Courtney pieces - and more!
