Scarves

First identified in Ancient Egypt (c. 1350) – scarves are one of the most versatile clothing items for men and women, due to their practical and comfort elements – providing, colour, texture, modesty, warmth, coolness and softness. There could be something more intrinsic behind the scarf’s appeal; the neck and shoulders are highly responsive to touch and in times of uncertainty, people look to clothing to give psychological comfort.
